Iliana Kouroupaki is a Greek visual artist and iconographer based in Athens, Greece, working across fine art photography and image-making as a form of cultural inquiry.
Her practice investigates landscape, memory, light and the traces of history embedded in place. Through an observational and often meditative photographic approach, she explores the dialogue between material reality and poetic perception, constructing images that function both as documents and contemplative visual narratives.
Travel--especially in Greece and Italy--constitutes and essential field of research within her practice, where photography becomes a means of recording cultural memory and spatial experience.
Her works are produced as a carefully curated, limited and numbered editions, conceived as collectible photographic objects.
